The Philippines, a land of abundant natural resources, faces stark inequalities. Poverty line is not going down and some people find it hard to find opportunities to improve their lives.

In the coastal and rural communities, people in this area experiences food insecurity, environmental degradation, and economic challenges. Someone has to do something. Someone has to step up.

Blue Ocean Alliance believes that there are sustainable and community-driven solutions to address these issues and empower underserved populations.

The founder, Camille Anne Ang, has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by these communities, gained through years of grassroots and self-funded efforts.

As a duly registered NGO in the Philippines and licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Blue Ocean Alliance has a successful track record of implementing projects, such as the Little Hands Summer Program and Garden Tower Project in Malapascua in collaboration with the Usana Foundation.

With the biggest project yet, Camille’s dedication and passion for community development and environmental conservation are evident.

Inspired by my global experiences and a deep-rooted desire to uplift my fellow Filipinos, I traded my 9-to-5 job for the freedom of entrepreneurship.

This bold move not only granted me financial independence but also provided me with the flexibility to pursue my passion projects. One such venture was introducing the USANA Foundation’s Garden Tower project to Malapascua Island, fostering sustainable farming practices.

Encouraged by this success, I expanded my focus to various self-funded initiatives aimed at addressing pressing challenges in rural communities. My future aspirations include promoting financial literacy, sustainable development, and social entrepreneurship, particularly by empowering young Filipinos to embark on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

I firmly believe in the power of community and the immense potential of the Filipino people to thrive. I am committed to continuing this journey of giving back and making a positive impact on society.
